Erin | Lexington Historical Museum | SC Portrait Photographer

And just like that, she's gone again.  It's the end of another break, she's headed back to her apartment, back to UNC for another semester of grad school and our nest is quiet. I look around the living room on Monday morning and everything is in its place - candy wrappers aren't strewn about, there isn't a cord across the floor connecting her heated blanket to an outlet, her books and laptop aren't surrounding the chair she always sits in and I am both happy to see my living room tidy, and sad to have her gone.
A couple of times a year, it's my pleasure to photograph her and this holiday season was no exception.  I met a couple of my photographer friends at the Lexington Historical Museum last month, to trade head shots, and immediately I knew that the museum was the next place I was going to photograph Erin.  Like always, what I see through my lens when I look at her is a little bit of magic...but that's the gift of being a parent. ❤
